I might not be able to make the cleanup run, but I need to get out, so I'm planning to run Caribou Creek (starting on the Eldora end) this Thursday.

Not a difficult trail, but fun and sometimes muddy toward the end. Trip report from October 2009: http://www.frontrange4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?7052-Caribou-Trail-Middle-St-Vrain

Looking at the pics of the previous run, man Pete had one crazy cool truck.

Would this be doable on a stock XJ? I have 225s and somewhat tosser suspension. Runs great otherwise but I don't want to be holding up anyone or get really stuck.

Edit: since this isn't jeep specific...4.0L, 4wd, civilian axles

What I need is to retire

I need to get me some of that "retire" stuff to. But something tells me it's not in my future.

Worky, worky, worky...:frown:

I'll defer to Rob since he's more familiar with it than I am but I think you'd do okay.

You'll be fine. It's a mostly easy trail.

My ex ran Caribou a few weeks back and said it is pretty rutted but she made it in a stock XJ.

Sounds good. I will try to get over there but not sure if I can handle the 25/36 traffic that time of morning.

I am definitely envious. Looked at my work calendar and can't play hooky tomorrow. :-(

Good to hear Kyle, I'm coming from Aurora and figure it'll take me an hour. I hope that's enough time but I'm not familiar with any problems tht may slow us down.

Post up if you're going to come so we know to wait for you Kyle.

You're not dull Jackie, just doing what you have to so.
