From what Ive heard, Bill (tonkatoy) and Mattzj98 are going to run over some cars for the tuff truck comp. Bill won last year by launching his burb into the air. Sounds like he is trying to 1up himself this year...
National Western Complex 11/2/13 doors at 6:30, tuff truck at 7:30. $25ea
SkinnyFab and I are going, Im not sure if it is general admission, but VIP (floor) sounds fun as well

When I was young (I'm 26) I loved going to monster truck shows... as a new dad I'd love to take my 1 1/2 year old son to them as a tradition. Can anyone put there two cents in as to if it not me a wise choice to take my son to this show ? I can't remeber how load it is and that what I fear. He loves cars and trucks make car nosies when hebplays with his cars. And loves his electeic mini quad so I'm sure hell love the trucks too. Thanks !

it is EXTREMELY loud! If you have good ear protectors (the earmuff style used by people when shooting guns) he may be alright, but my daughter is the same age and I think she would be terrified. I will wait until she is around 5.

It is loud and I think you would be OK bringing your son if you can get him to wear those ear muffs. But I would guess he would not want to keep them on his head...

Or get a sitter or have a guys night out with some friends.... Family is of paramount importance, but you are still an individual who has interests. THe family will be able to join in soon enough!

The way I see it is I don't have any traditions with my dad, he's a great dad just busy with other things other peoples lifes as I was groing up. I am who I am today cuz of him. But now that I have my son and family I plan not to be the same as my dad in that aspect. I have my things I do alone or with friends that my son can't do with me until a few years to come..... but I would like to start my self on a good start of becoming the best father I can be..... which is why I dressed up like Batman this halloween and got him Robin... he's to young to know what's going on but when he's my age I hope he can look back and say "that's my dad and me" I also don't really have any pictures of my dad n I together. Ill look in. The ear moff tomarrow and if he don't mind wearing them at home well try and make it out to the show. Thanks guys !!

I was a bit concerned taking my daughter to the Indy races and Bandimere because of the noise but she loves it. Went to our first Indy race together on Fathers Day when she was 2 but she enjoyed herself more the next year. Now she lights up at the mention of Bandimere. We might be going tonight depending on how the day plays out. Got a few things to get done first but would love to see Bill and Matt crushing cars.

Ended up making it to the show. Matt managed to conquer the car and make it over, one of only 2 or 3 trucks that made it. New light bar looks sweet. By the time Bill got up there was no more dirt next to car and he ended up pushing the car instead of climbing it. He had a couple hard hits trying. Family had a good time getting out, been 20+ years since I been to a monster truck show. Equalizer managed to be the first truck to land a back flip in Colorado.

You said something about an upgrade? Does BDS make a set of larger arms???? And when it broke, what happened, 'cause it looks like the threaded end of the joint pulled out of the DOM that makes up the rest of the arm? Or did it just break the joint threaded part of the joint?
