Well it was a fun day of wheeling and I was able to meet Tony. I am very happy with the newest mods to the truck and I will try to get some pics up still tonight

Ran into some snow that kept us from running the whole trail

Really didn't get too many pics but here is a couple more. The bronco was my friend that ran with me and the suzuki was parked were Tony decided to hike instead. Things up there were pretty slick

How close to the lake did you get?

We got to where i believe we would have started to come down into the valley where the lake is. Did not get to the spot where the big flat rock is by the fence. I went farther than any other tire tracks did but the guy with me was having an even harder time than me

Good place to stop IIRC, from there is the long downhill section that's a b!tch to get back up in those conditions.

Wow! Our tracks must have been covered up. A couple weeks ago, I was with a group that blazed the trail down that hill and we decided to turn around at the mud pit (the rock by the fence). We probably could have made it to the lake but we turned around. And then one of the Jeeps really struggled climbed up out of there- took 90 minutes or so to get him the hill.

I was only able to get a few pictures as well but it was a fun day and good to see other people up on the trails still!! Hopefully we can still make it out a few times before winter's full fury hits us.

You can easily wheel year round here- even without getting into too much snow. This year I been out in February, March, April... probably May, June, July, August, September, October. And the end of last year I got out October, November and December. You just need to adjust where you go.

My friend out with me was having a harder time of it than me but i want to give the trail another run. Also considering buying some chains for the rear at least. Not sure what difference that really makes tho as i am originally from Florida. Point is i want to do more winter trips this year.

Let me know if any of you guys will be coming up this way this winter. My wheeling this time of year has been limited just on account of not having anyone to go with and it being a little sketchy up there alone. Plus the little 1.3L I am running doesn't like to make long trips through the mountains. Looking to get a tow bar to extend my range. Anyways here are a few videos form the other day. They show exactly why beefier tires and a locker are next on my upgrade list. Trying to make it out again this Sunday perhaps if anyone is interested. I will post a run when I know for sure when and where.
