Any one out there have a pulley holder they would like to loan for about ten mins? I ordered the wrong pulley holder(its for cam shafts), and low and behold it does not fit my crank pulley. Timing belt all changed, just need to torque it down. Need to hold that pulley still so I can put 217ft/lbs on it.
Thanks, Happy thanksgiving.

depending on how much fabrication material you have you can just make one like I did for my cars crank last week :)

No welding equipment or skills, or materials.

another question. I have the ability to hold the camshaft pulley still. Do you all think the timing belt and tensioners can bear the torque if I wrench on the crank pulley?

Might be able to rig something out of a 2x4. That is all I have lying around.
thanks

I would be more worried about the keyway and everything else that will take the torque

oh now I get ur question umm I would not want to do it but if you had to have it running say in a few hours then you probably could but that is a lot to put against the rubber belt

I have one I built specifically for the 3.4 when I did a friends timing belt. It needs a couple long hardened bolts or drill bits to reach back into the holes on the harmonic balancer that I don't have any more but you're welcome to use it. I modified it for the same purpose on my 22re but the holes are still there for the 3.4.

RidgeRunner, I will let you know. I am going to try my 2x4 theory and see where that goes. Thanks guys, for the help
