I saw this CJ on CL for sale. Based on the description, a wounded vet is driving it, and it apparently needs some help. He is looking to sell/trade, but thought I might post it here if someone was interested in reaching out to him to help him get it back on the road instead. A carb adjust for altitude may be all it needs. Just a thought. Sounds like it needs a tuneup and the top/heater addressed. I would consider pitching in some cash to help with a top/doors if it is legit.

If it is legit - I would consider helping financially to help a vet. I don't know enough about mechanics to be helpful to him and would not be interested in buying the Jeep, so I am not willing to call him. If one if you touch base with him, let us know if we can help.

Ditto. Last thing I personally need is a Jeep. I have a cold right now, so I can't spend any time tinkering, but these are usually simple things. I imagine the lack of doors and a real top is the biggest issue.

Here are doors for $100:

and a CJ5 hardtop for $125:

Can't disagree with that. Wasn't trying to make any judgement about someones intelligence.

I agree. I think he got tired of driving the old CJ without a top/doors and probably a crappy ride. It may have sounded like a good fun idea before, but at 55mph or so, I bet it gets old quick. The top doors would make a difference, but it will still be slow, loud, and bumpy.
