Their ceremony was 7+ years ago but since Hawaii just legalized same sex marriage it is now recognized just as straight marriages are. We're very happy Hawaii has stepped in to the 21st century as I hope all my fellow FR4x4 members are as well.

Chris, I assume you only have one son in Hawaii? This is the one you mentioned before with the tool collection you were rather jealous of? Just curious as I believe you had mentioned visiting him before.

We have one son and one daughter Jeff, my daughter lives here. I inherited most of his tools when he moved since it costs more to ship them than to buy them over there. We do try to visit every winter to see them and enjoy the Maui weather while we're at it, heading there in a few weeks with my daughter's family for the holidays.

And taking him one tool at a time in your carry on bag? :) Hope you enjoy your trip! Not sure how a trip to Hawaii could possibly be bad!

Hell no! I paid his Auto Tech tuitions and the tools were part of the deal! He took the valuable tools stuff when he left. We haven't had a bad trip yet and my daughters family leaves after 10 days to get back to work and school leaving Barb & I behind while celebrate our anniversary.
