I can get an amazing deals on Miller welders from school. I have my eyes set on the 211. I think it would be nice to have the dual voltage option. Anyone have experience or words of wisdom?

That is what I have and it does pretty well. It is a great machine for the occasional user that needs to do thicker material. At max capacity it has a 30% duty cycle, so that is the big downside to it, but in my opinion it makes up for it in size and utility. I've honestly never maxed out the duty cycle when plugged into 240v power. I did have a problem with flipping breakers after 10 minutes or so on 120v, but I think that was down to there being other stuff plugged into that circuit too. The Multi-Voltage thing is nice, and its as easy as unscrewing one and screwing in the other (30 second job).

Its hard to beat and at least for me should last me for as long as I need a welder. Might suck if you are literally spending all day actually welding, but for me its easy to let it breath enough to never hit the duty cycle limit. I use it mostly for .125" to .25" material and it does great. I've done 3/8" with it at max settings and it did great with that too but you could tell it was working harder. The next step up in the line of welders is significantly more expensive, so I definitely feel good about settling on the 211.

Yea the next step up is a costly step. I think for what I can get it for, its a no brainer. I can most likely sell it for more than I'm gonna pay for it.

Yes. Excellent machine. Josh hit the nail on the head with his review.

I was recently looking at the same welder but ended up going the miller multimatic 200 route as it had the same duty cycle and can run all processes granted the TiG is limited and can't do aluminum. So far it's been great and I've had no complaints. If you need more than a wire feed it's a better way to go IMO.
