A few FR folks were with me on a trip and can pick this out. Perhaps they'll sit back and see if it's an easy find for others, if not, pipe in!

And such an odd guess too. I _almost_ put in that there seemed like a picnic / camp spot by it.
I've only been on a section of Switzerland once - back several years - but it seemed odd, that chimney, that it sticks in my mind. There was a house / building built next to it at some time, yes???
On to the next...

Jim
April 3rd, 2014, 10:30 PM
No on both counts.
Not Durango & Silverton. I believe not/never a depot (edit: as there are no roads, trails, buildings, people for miles around - aside from the steam trains meeting from each direction, with their passengers, it's wonderful Colorado scenery and solitude).

Post a photo from somewhere in Colorado and the other guys guess where it is. The person that gets it right gets to post the next photo, and so on. It's kind of a cool way to learn about new places, show off your travels and share your photos. Photos with rigs get extra credit!..........

Roving through a mountain cemetery, I too noticed the young age of kids. Was there some epidemic that rolled through to kill off kids or was it simply, consistently, a difficult life?

Cell phone tower - not as originally designed and used, but for now, yes there are cell signals out there (Verizon rocks on it - I've heard others are dead).
Rampart - I believe there's one down there (There's your hint).
Added hint - I was not illegally scaling the tower.
