Ripped off the idea from my adventure motorcycling forum. Thought it would be fun here as well. Here's how the game works... Post a photo from somewhere in Colorado and the other guys guess where it is. The person that gets it right gets to post the next photo, and so on. It's kind of a cool way to learn about new places, show off your travels and share your photos. Photos with rigs get extra credit!

Rules!!

1- Don't post a photo unless it's your turn! If you guess a location correctly, then you're up.

2- Feel free to drop hints if needed & try not to make it too obscure. If a photo/location goes for sometime without being revealed after a few hints, please share the location and toss out the next turn to someone else.

3- If the most recent winner doesn't take his/her turn within 24 hours, the challenge is open to anyone to post their photo.

I'll go first then I guess. I'll start with an easy one.

-Dustin

Nope. The lower part of the trail is similar to the lower part of the Peak 10 trail.

I looked at the url so won't say, but good hint!

'Nother hint:

both trails have ski lifts low on the trail that you drive under (review the names on TD and you can probably guess it).

and for those that haven't done Peak 10- highly recommend it. Near the top, there's a bunch of switchbacks that are really fun to negotiate. They probably aren't Black Bear Pass scary (I haven't done BBP) but still, lots of fun? The trail itself is fairly easy but has some amazing views at the top.

The switchbacks at the top of Peak 10 were too much for me. See my trip report here,

Still wanting to do a brake upgrade because of that trail.

ExplorerTom
January 5th, 2014, 08:06 PM
Maybe my years of autoxing and track days calmed my nerves behind the wheel- I wasn't the least bit intimidated. I also never had to multi point any of the switchbacks- just like clipping an apex on track.

someone guess- even if you look at the URL. I feel like I've had the ball in my court too long and I'd be responsible for ruining this game.

I could say, name the mountain or I could say name the town, but let's go at it a bit differently...

Name the TRAIL that heads north/northeast from that town.

I'll be generous with hints, though I don't think they'll be needed (so no hint to start).
