Do the '78-'79 Ford F150 pitman arms interchange with the '66-'77 Ford Bronco pitman arms, are the sector shaft spline count and size the same, and are they relatively close to each other in length??????????

I did the 4x4x2 steering box swap on my Bronco. I used a box from a 78-79 bronco and used my pitman arm from my 76 bronco, so yes they interchange.

Wait, do you mean the "top half of the steering box"? The swap I did took the 78-79 box with the mid 80's-90's worm gear to get the correct turning direction.

Pitman arm only. They swap onto an S-10 Saginaw box. The Grand Cherokee arm I have is 5 1/2" center line of sector shaft to center line of tie rod hole. The WJ knuckles measure 7" center line of upper ball joint to center line of tie rod hole on the steering arm. The Ford Bronco and F150 arms are 6 1/2" to 7" center line of sector shaft to center line of tie rod hole. The current set up doesn't let me steer lock to lock. The arm dimensions need to be very close to achieve this. Found a guy on Craigslist who's parting with one.
