I would like to do a snow run Sat. 1/18 but not very familiar with the trails in CO.

Let's meet at the Kum & Go (1319 Miner St) in Idaho Springs at 9am.
From there we can decide on a trail, possible Barbour Fork, Yankee Hill Rd, etc.
I'll be in a '97 green TJ. Mobile 602 446-8658.

I apologize ahead of time for my lack of trail knowledge as I'm from AZ and totally just going off the Wells books for info.
I would totally welcome someone else leading this run.

Yankee Hill has a lot of off-shoots so if you're not familiar with the area, it could be a bit of a problem. If you have a Garmin or GPS app on your phone, I'd recommend going to the TrailDamage web site and downloading the .gpx (Garmin) or .kml (Google Earth) files to your device for navigation. That's what I've always done, even when doing the trails with friends. Those files typically have all of the obstacles marked as well.

Yankee Hill is a great trail and has awesome views of St. Mary's Glacier if you can get to the top. Sometimes its gets fairly wind-blown up there, but its a good winter trail.

Check out pdf maps app and download the free MVUM's for the area (clear creek ranger district for yankee hill)

I love this app, I like that you don't need cell service for it to work...

BTW Barbour forks is closed (seasonal)

I might be able to get out tomorrow if I can get my new bushings pressed in tonight. Would need to have trail determined before leaving though. I don't go up I-70 unless I have to because of gearing/tire combo.
