From my reading on CC I've found that front YJ brake lines and rear TJ brake lines will work for 2" lift but will they work for 3" lift? Would any other vehicles brake lines work for a 3" lift?

I used a rear brake line from a '96 Dodge Dakota on my Cherokee with a 3" lift with no problems. Switched to stainless lines when I went to 5.5" lift. XJs and MJs are close, might be worth a look. The Dodge brake line was about $16 I think.

Sometimes its just cheaper to bite the bullet and go to a hydraulic shop or speed shop and have your own custom length ones made.

Boulder Hose can make them, a friend of mine got a custom set the length he wanted out of braided stainless for $100.

Your local parts store will most likely know where the nearest speed shop, or hydraulic shop is.

For my XJ with 3" lift was able to move bracket on front. Went braided for 5.5" lift

Places like Whistler Bearing can make you Braided lines to your liking and it's not a bad price.

Does your Comanche still have the load sensor valve on the rear axle?

A problem I ran into with the RENIX era rear axles, is that they have different size holes for the hold down bolt. The earlier axles use a separate hole for the vent, where the newer axles use the vent nipple to hold down the distribution block. The Dakota brake line is not a direct bolt on for the older axles.

Go to Leary Racing Products, at 1900 S. Navajo St. Denver, 80223, or AAI, at 5985 Lamar St. Arvada, 80003, for your brake lines. They can build your brake lines or sell you the parts to make your own. They are less expensive then the other places.
