I figure since I modify the truck and plan on keeping this one for a while I might as well start build thread.
This will be nothing as ridiculous as the jeep, but it will definitely serve it's purpose.
Unlike my powerstroke, idea for this one is to be reliable and powerful enough to tow 3 rigs on a gooseneck and not struggle. It will also be pulling a 40 ft gulf stream.
Bought this thing less than a year ago while my powerstroke had injector issue once again..
I6, 6.7l cummins
Exhaust brake
Trailer brake
Tranny brake
I put in a gooseneck hitch and slapped 33 inch Nitto Terra Grapplers on it, does great.
It also has a locker in it which helps in many situations..

The big Cummins is a beast when it comes to pulling (I have one in a 03). The exhaust brake is also another must have for a tow rig. Mine is a 6spd, so no tranny brake on it, but I use it from everything from cows to my rigs. With the 20' gooseneck and my Samurai, it pulls like it isnt hooked to anything....

Sweet! Like the decal. Interested to see what all you do to it.
Which exhaust brake did you go with? Any idea what size it is? I have a Pac Brake installed in mine and LOVE it, but when I get around to putting the twins on I think I may have to replace it with a larger one as it is only for a 4" down tube.
When you are done, could you come up and finish my 12 valve up for me? Twins with 770 hp at my rear wheels sounds like so much fun. And my EGT's should be a hell of a lot better when pulling heavy and fast over the hills. But I have yet to find the time to take my reliable tow pig out of use.

Another mod, replacing stock foglights with LED foglights. In the mean time I've also gone to hid headlights. Come to find out, the rams do not have fuses for headlights, they work on a module called tipm... When tipm goes out, it's a $1500 fix! Did not see that coming!
Tipm needs 55 watt closed circuit in order to properly work. Hid are 35 watt.. tipm throws a fit and blows..
Back to stock head lights it is!!

The power joke was 2000 or 2001 I believe.. I don't know about weights yet, but if it's more than this 3500 can do, I have another dually that will..
