Congrats on making a effort! Starting a small business takes a lot on energy and effort, and I applaud anyone who is willing to actually go through the paces. I know I am about to dump another $50-75K into mine here shortly and it scares me almost as much as when I first started years ago. I truly wish you the best!

So with engineering in your name, are you the Certified Engineer on your staff or were you just lucky enough to find one willing to work for a start up? Do you then offer certified drawings? How much do you charge an hour for work such as this? How much liability insurance do you all carry?

Consider making a long term "advert" thread in Member Skills as well (or I can move this to there if you wish).

Been working on getting it going for a while now. Still in its preliminary stages for sure. I am an EIT myself. I will not offer drawings of any sort for several reasons. Just selling the bumpers themselves to start with. The whole business is around bumpers and off road protection, hope to dive into the long travel suspension realm at a later time.

I'm not a FB user so I can't "like" it but I do like to see folks give it a shot. I'll echo Aaron's comment since I know a few folks that tried and failed and ended up with painful debts instead of success. I'll just leave it at that and encourage you to establish realistic prices and stick to them.

Liked. That's awesome! Self employment is a great path, and with your education and skill the sky is the limit. :thumb: When I started my first business I went to S.C.O.R.E. for advice and the two best things I got were 1. Own, don't lease. This has been important for me, FWIW. 2. Have fun. You can be miserable in a job, this should be an adventure.

there are currently no actual pictures of the products. just the green and red pictures to take up the space.

it is still a work in progress... it should be three pages. 1) pic of my truck, 2) our products page with two images, and 3) a contact form
