Well, I would start with a junked Cherokee with front end damage.

Cut it in half, plate the rest of the unibody rear section, throw a tongue on it, use either diamond plate or a big sheet of sheet metal for the front, and wire up the lights.

not hard at all. the hardest part would be to "wall" it off.

If you do attempt something like this, make sure you add an access door or panel to the front. Will save you the hassle of unloading the trailer to get something up front.

And include tip up side windows !

It'd be nice if you could get an extra "rear face" (glass / tailgate) and melt it onto the front's open face.

get 2 donors, cut in half and weld together. Hatch front and rear. 4 door cherokee has shorter back end to help shorten it.

Or cut a 4-door at the B pillar. It would be longer, heavier, and have side entry.

You just need the doors to open 90°s.
