I got home at 10:30p (after 20 minutes cleaning the jeep at the car wash - and then cleaning the car wash stall)

A good day (aside from ANOTHER fuel delivery issue - that was able to be trailside repaired). Thanks to Chase for the extra hand and tool! I really think I'm going to go dual fuel pumps with two electrical circuits where I can flip A/B while moving.

EDIT: Pix n vids will have to wait a few days... Sorry, time crunch - need to sleep.

Had a great time! Thanks to all for welcoming me. I even have some sunburn on my face. The drive down was as much of an adventure as the trail ride. I saw a Grand Cherokee up side down after loosing control on a straight road. Still don't know how people do that. I had a really nice new Tahoe tailgating me for miles and I pulled off to get a cup of coffee and when I continued up the road there he was in a ditch after hydroplaning on slush. Not to mention dozens of cars and trucks abandoned the night before. Anyway thanks again had a great time. Of course after the fail on the wall it starts the "if I had a locker I would have made it" and the projects begin...

Now the Grand Cherokee wasn't me, but I could start a story that goes: " A funny thing happened to me on the way to the Annual Run"! There was a curve involved though and I was only on my side! :)

Yesterday was a blast didnt get alot of pics it was my wifes first time up wheeling so she was just enjoying it so she did get a couple vid ill upload them soon. It was a blast meeting everybody. I know the guys i went up with got plenty of pics so hopefully they will upload them soon.

Yeah, I wish we were joking about it! In all my years of driving I have had very few accidents! Leave it to me to be going offroadin' and crash on the road!

The main thing is neither my son nor I were hurt. After that the rest is trivial! I was pretty impressed with the Jeep. Tough little machine! For going over on its side it did remarkably well IMHO!

I want to give special thanks to Geno (Gene)! He quickly had me back on all four wheels and really saved the day! Geno and his son "Robert B" (and family of course) live across the street from me. They have been great neighbors and always there to lend a hand and help me learn about wheelin'.

Curiously enough, I got to know Geno and Robert B when my son (who was the passenger in the Jeep with me on Saturday) rolled the 92 YJ, that I owned with my other son, on its side. Curious that he has been involved in both flops! Actually, also curious that both were on the streets! Hmmm.... Anyway, when he flopped the YJ we drove it home. I had lived at the house for years and never really introduced myself. I just waved as I went by. So, we come home with the broken YJ and Geno and Robert B were over before we had the engine turned off! The short story is they helped me replace the rear axle and saved me hundreds of dollars! Since then they have mentored me on what I need to do to the YJ to get it ready for the trails. We built up the YJ nicely. My oldest son took that and now I have the TJ. So, Saturday was the second time that Geno has come to the rescue when I have had a flopped red Jeep! You can't ask for better neighbors and friends! I can't thank them enough!

The Jeep is not too bad. We still ran the trail on Saturday. I cracked the windshield and the windshield frame is dented (I'll probably live with the dent for now.). The soft top has a rip and the side window got torn. The frame for the soft top is a bit skewed, but we hope to be able to bend that back. It was about time for a new top anyway, so I may just bite the bullet and replace the top. The front driver's fender got slightly bent, but I will just live with that. The fender flares need a little TLC, but they will be fine. Oh, driver's side mirror is gone. It could have been a lot worse, so I am just glad the damage was relatively minor!

Anyway, thanks again to Geno! He saved the day (again)!
