in need of a 1st gen 4runner 22 RE rear Drive shaft. don't matter what condition the U joints are shaft need to be good. Jims is the next stop.

Let me see what I have. I know I have the center portion of the stock shaft off my '87 with the slip joint but I think I took the flanges and u-joints off for spares.

that would be great! that's all I need, I have both ends and plan on doing new joint anyways.

anyone know if a rear shaft from an 83 short bed pick up will work on the 88 4runner ?

I think the flange bolt pattern is different between 83 and 87. That is the PITA thing about Toyota. They offered so many different flange patterns, and not all are even square.

I have the pu shaft.. I think its longer.
