Check out the shop in Longmont at 10th and Main St. They just did an entire exhaust system (from manifold back) including new cat and muffler, on a client's Dakota for under $200. I had a chance to inspect it after they completed the work and I have to say they did a good job. That is my only experience within the past 5 years as I have been doing my own.

I just took my Isuzu to Buds exhaust shop. They did great work, checked and double checked all of the welds.

They are also very fair on the price. I couldn't be happier. Ill be taking some pics of my exhaust soon... when the snow clears. I was also very picky about how I wanted my exhaust done, every so often they would take me to the car every make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I got my exhaust fixed from the down tube back, they did it in a good amount of time and a great price. Pm me if you want more details. I believe they charge right around 125$ for a muffler replacement, and if i'm not mistaken that includes the price of the muffler. And most cars are done the same day, if not the same hour.

Actually looking to get my exhaust on my Plymouth done sense its just open headers, but I have all the exhaust tubing and mufflers just need it welded together and stuck on the car.so if you find somewhere decent let me know and vice versa. If I come across something I'll let you know.

The only other good shop I know of is AAPerformance Muffler on Broadway in Denver. I'm not sure how Scotty feels about bringing your own parts. He redid my old trucks exhaust and fixed my current a few times.

Think it was Ken's. There used to be like 3 different Ken's muffler locations here in Longmont so it would make sense.

Monster muffler in Longmont. Taken 3 vehicles to him. He does great work and is usually spot on with his quote.

Had my Ranger done at Exhaust Pros in Thornton. They did a good job. I was happy with the work.

I think I still have my account over at allied that is were most exhaust shops get the supplies or summit (not summit racing). If you are just looking for a stock exhaust I could probably or you some parts even performance mufflers if you want one. If you were wanting to step up the diameter on the pipe to I would go 2.50 for a 6 and 2.25 for a 4 banger. If you are not concerned about it being mandrel bent then you could have them sell you a tailpipe that is bent up using a bend card shouldn't cost you more than 60-70 for the tailpipe pick a muffler you want. It should be a strait shot from the front pipe to the muffler. Then weld it up or you can clamp it if you choose. The original muffler should have been a center in off-set out. Just throwing it out there.

I really only need a muffler but sense the whole thing is original and pretty rusty I figured I would just do the whole thing. And I was wanting a custom exhaust as opposed to a stock one

They are great!!! I brought in a few parts of my own, no issues. I highly recommend AA Performance, they did a fantastic job on Ol'Green! They tucked everything up out of the way and gained me clearance and for a very very fair price!

Yeah, Scotty is a good guy. He didn't charge me for the last repair saying "The way you're beating up this you'll be back for a complete exhaust soon enough."

Called up buds and monster today. Buds quoted me at 550-650 where monster only quoted me at 320-350 which would included all the other stuff I was wanting in the exhaust. So being that monster is not only a good 200-300 cheaper it is also only 20 minutes from my house I will be going to them. Called them up the guy was real friendly even told me that he did another comanche recently which is pretty cool.

Just out of curiosity do remember who you talked to at Buds? Was it Mike , TJ or Bill? That seems a little high to me?

Yea, it does seem a bit high, but they quoted me quite high until i went in to see them. The price dropped significantly. Monster gave you a great price, im not sure if i would go anywhere else!

I'm not sure who I talked to at buds and I thought it was way high as well. They might quote people high so they come in with enough money

I have been doing exhaust work since I was 14 and still you would not quote something that high if you wanted to bring in a customer even with the increase in today's labor rates. If you wanted to replace the header along with new exhaust i could see it being that high, but not just from the header back.
