Hey everyone,

I'm a Tacoma guy (TTORA) who enjoys wheeling, so I'm expanding my circle of friends to try and link-up with more folks running the trails. I also have a MB Unimog 416 Doka which you can read about here (http://www.benzworld.org/forums/unimog/1570715-416-turbo-build-much-more.html)and see on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIXEhbDC0nI&list=UUcCNV-H73xObzTu1fywTUQg&feature=share&index=1). I am still working on it, but it's my preferred off-roader since the Taco is my DD. :D

I hope to see you on the trails!

Bryan

That's not fair - it took me a bunch of tries to get up that obstacle on Spring Creek.
Welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I like diversity of rigs I see in your avatars! While a have a lot of work to do on the Unimog, my Taco is ready to play. It has a 6" Fabtech lift with 35's, a Superchargered 3.4L with A/T, and a rear factory elocker. It does pretty well but I have no sliders and DO NOT WANT BODY DAMAGE on this truck, so I drive it conservatively off road. Both my trucks have winches and heavy front bumpers, but I need to finish my heavy rear bumpers.

The Mog on the other hand, has no lift, 46's with 20"+ at the diff, 5.7L Turbo Diesel, air lockers front and rear, and is SO FREAKIN' FUN TO DRIVE. I am deep in mods on it right now, but I'm going as fast as I can! I would welcome some internal roll bar help if any of you have experience with that sort of thing... I'm borrowing a TTORA buddy's tube bender today, but it is an intimidating project since I haven't done one before, and I still have to finish a couple other items before starting the interior. Any builds out there that you would direct me to??

The Spring Creek vid is an awesome example of how the mog can roll right over obstacles that stop unmodified vehicles. Even a rig with 46's will drag on stuff I don't because Unimogs have portal axles. I just love this thing and the kids have a great time in it, even just cruising down the road!
