My son started a new gig in Denver and is looking for a decent place to live. He's got a budget of $700-800 per month to work with.

He's hoping to find something on the north side (Thorton, Westminister, etc) and he's got a dog as well...so that might be a problem at some places.

Any leads would be appreciated.

PM's are fine if you'd rather not post here.

7-800 is hard to find in the rental market. My brother is almost paying $900 for a small 1 bedroom in a shady area.

Yep, been looking there as well. I was hoping that someone here might know of a specific place that's reasonable and not in a really crappy part of town.

Near impossible to find a decent place in a decent area for that kinda price. With the floods last year, 1 bedrooms are going for much more money than they normally do.

I just spent the last couple months trying to find a one bedroom for under 900 in that same area....I caved and ended up getting a roomate again because you can find much nicer for much cheaper.

Zillow is a good site to look on. Houses, condos, apartments. You can set search criteria for your needs - price, location, pet friendly, etc.

I went and looked and the place I rented from 1999-2002 for $800-$900/month near Northglenn is now renting for $1200/month.

A few years ago I checked out an apartment complex on Huron St just north of 104th ave. If I remember right, the rent was somewhere around $500-$600 a month. They are dated apartments, but not too bad. If I remember right, the name of the place was called Huron Heights.
