Nice YJs, I kept seeing them in the background of his welding videos so I went to his page. ff you're into pig hunting, check him out.
What do you think of the front shackle angle? It looks ready to invert to me...

Less bump steer for one. I can't tell for sure but he may be running longer springs with less leafs for better articulation. With the shackle reversal you're less likely to bend a spring if you run into an obstacle - stump, rock, Prius at the mall. There are advantages and disadvantages either way. I would add U-bolt skids though with the spring under setup.

I had the MORE reversal on my YJ, the springs get reversed you so get a little more wheel base, that may be why they look longer? I meant the angle of the shackle itself, it looks like they mounted it to the frame too far back by an inch or two. Cool jeeps though.

After another look at the video, yeah the shackle angle looks like it would give a more harsh ride. New springs that have not flattened out yet? IDK, but I doubt they would flatten out that much to reverse the angle they're sitting at there.

I don't think paul was referring the shackle reversal I self but rather the angle at which the shackle is at. Longer softer springs would require the shackle to lay back even farther.
