Well, after all of us northerners showed up 1 hour and 42 minutes late we headed up the trail. Lots of snow and mud. We missed everyone else by 12 minutes. As for our little group of 5 rigs, we headed up figuring everyone else was probably at the end. We made it about 2/3 of the way to the end when a couple of rigs had some minor problems. We stopped at a place where we could turn around, had lunch, and heading back out. We didn't want to take the chance of getting into any place where someone couldn't get out. I do have to say that the road to get to the trail head should be a trail in of itself. Over all we had a great time and look forward to doing it again without the snow. Picture to come later after I can get them downloaded.

Oh, and I should mention when we were on our way out, we ran into the others that went.

Why was everyone from up north so late? How far north did they come from? There is a lot more snow there now than there was when I was there a couple weeks ago. Did you make it down to the river? Doesn't look like it but I don't remember any real obstacles other than a tippy turn. Chicken scratch hill was the only obstacle but it was fun and was right at the end before the river.

A couple of rigs had mechanical issues come up so we turned around and get them out.

Looks like a good day. Bummer about the troubles, glad everyone made it home safe.

We pretty much stayed together until we got back to Denver just in case. One went back to his hotel room in the springs, one went to his cabin in Deckers and the rest of us followed each other. It was all good. I'm looking forward to maybe trying it again in the summer so I don't have to deal with the snow.
