Picked up this Dub as a trade for my 93 ZJ. I had owned, built and wheeled the ZJ for almost 10 years to the day when I pulled the trigger on the trade. My son was 1 YO at the time and I decided I wanted more of a DD/Weekend warrior than what the ZJ had become.

This was ZJ on Moab Rim in 2011:

Had 35's, 44/9" combo with ARB's, Clayton's long arms, etc. It was a purpose built Jeep and seemed to lack the comforts, etc for hauling a toddler.

So, I traded for this:

2004 Limited with a bit over 100k, clean, etc. Protofab bumper would be about all that would stay from the mild short arm lift and Aussie locked 44 rear.

Plans:

4.5" long arm - Bought Clayton's fronts and am building custom rears
JK Rubi 44 front, ARB, RCV's
Ford 9" rear with ARB, Yukon's
Spin 33's for a while till the boy gets a bit bigger and better able to get himself in and out, then maybe make the jump to 35's again.

Got the rear axle brackets assembled and welded on over the weekend and the Jeep side brackets burned on. It is on jack stands under the Jeep now to measure for arms, lengths, etc.

Excuse my flux core splatter....lame, I know :frown:

Hope to get the arms built in the evenings this week after the boy is in bed...we shall see...
