Howdy. I've been checking out this site for a few weeks. I like the vibe, so here I am. I'm from Missouri (here 3 years), so I haven't done much wheeling. I bought my first 4x4 last spring. A yellow '66 Scout 800 w/ 152. Due to the weather, I didn't get to hit many trails. First one was Barbour's Fork in the rain with the top off. Then Rollins Pass. I came down Jenny Creek. Barely. That convinced me to not wheel alone.
Recently, I did try Metberry & Longwater, but turned around at the big rocks. The Scout needs too much work before hitting hard stuff. So I am selling it. I've already replaced it with a '62 Dodge Power Wagon. Not military type. It has a 318/4spd/Dana 44 frt/Dana 60 rr. It should be easier to modify. I plan on hitting trails every week. Didn't move here to sit on my butt in Denver.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

Scott

Welcome. I agree with Tom, pictures are a plus. While I do love my Jeep, it's nice to see pictures of all the non-Jeep rides. :)

Thanks, I just don't have the room, time, or money for 3 vehicles. The poor thing needs a total rebuild.

When I saw your registration come through, the truck type certainly opened my eyes!

Thanks. I've only had it 1 month. Still have lots of work to do. The PO had bought it to get parts for his other truck. I'm kinda stuck on old trucks.

Thanks all. Happy to be here.

Jason, I'm from St. Louis area. I've always been into trucks, mostly Advance Design. I still have a '49 Chevy 1/2ton. Never had a 4x4 til last year here in Denver.

Paul, I love FSJ's. It was down to the Scout & 2 J-20's when looking for a 4x4. Couldn't find one I could afford with the Buick 350, so I got the Scout. I was even looking at a couple recently, but came across the Dodge.
