Patience can pay off! Maybe! :D

I got a free Winch cable last year. And a free winch yesterday (one of our good customers was going to scrap it). Have to go through it and see what's wrong with it but given its a warn I should be able to get any necessary parts.

And speaking of that, any suggested parts suppliers?

You can order parts straight through Warn. I have gotten pretty good at winch diagnosis/work lately. Let me know if you need help.

Good score! That's a great winch. I hope you can get it fixed up.

Rigged the motor to make sure it runs! Worked perfectly. Just need to wire up the solenoid sand find a mounting spot for the solenoid pack. As I did not get a controller I am thinking of adding a wireless remote and integrating a internal rocker switch in the dash. Will be ordering power cables through storm copper. Really love their products.

On my 4runner I just wired the switch right into the dash. I didn't have a remote for it, so I wired directly to the solenoids. Also mounted the box under the hood to hopefully cut down on the vibrations and moisture.

that's awesome!! :thumb: The run to the dunes convinced me that a winch is my next investment. Don't think I'll get a deal as sweet as yours!
