The 640-acre Rogers Canyon area is located eight miles northwest of Laramie, WY. It is used extensively by local residents and students from the University of Wyoming and WyoTech for rock climbing, hiking, biking, hunting, all-terrain vehicles and target shooting. Unfortunately, the area has been degraded with the dumping of trash and other debris, riding off established roads and two-tracks, unsafe shooting practices, and the destruction of natural resources.

I'm apparently dumb, but would the 65" width limitation of offroad vehicles exclude Jeeps and other 4x4s? The plan sounds pretty good; cleaning up the area, enforcing no dumping and responsible use, and preserving the outdoor activities. Sad that it got this far, and I see similarities with the condition of Lefthand Canyon, but nice to see a positive plan. You know, rather than the 'let's just close it' mentality otherwise-seen.

I had to go look it up. Stock Jeep TJ is 66.7" wide. I'm sure a Jeep JK is wider. I guess the Jeep TJ *almost* qualifies as an ATV. :) Probably would qualify if I took off my fenders.
