The Shopsmith is the swiss army knife of woodworking. I picked one up this week with several accessories for $200. The drill press is standard, as well as the lathe and table saw, but I also got the disc sander and band saw. I was looking for a drill press to do some metal drilling when I ran across these. I plan to do some woodwork as well, so this was sort of a no-brainer. Here is a link they shows several of the features.

Is yours the Mark 5, which has its own stand and rolls around like in the photos, or is it the early style that had to be mounted to a wooden stand?

I haven't used mine yet. I figure I will use the drill press more than anything, but it was cheaper than most drill presses, plus all the extra features. Should be fun!
