After joining up a little over a year ago I thought it would be a good thing to give my impressions of the site and the group as a whole.
This is the only site I sign onto on a daily basis. I don't even sign onto facebook that much. After running some trails with the group and meeting some of the people I have to say I LOVE THIS GROUP. Everyone here is very helpful in everything. Everyone watches out for everyone else which is something I've never encountered anywhere else. I look forward to being a part of this for as my old Bronco can stand up. Thank you everyone for being part of this wonderful group. I feel privileged to be part of it.
So, what is everyone else think of the group? I'm just curious.

Same !!!
I was an "Old timer" on another site and soon found out that the more I was there the less I wheeled.
Thats the good side of the rules, Wheel at least once a year..

Wheel at least once a year..
I've made it out 3 times so far this year. Twice on scheduled runs and once on my own. I'm actually getting out more now than I did before.

Been on here for a little more than a year now, and I could not be happier. There is almost always somebody doing a trail run, which you wouldn't think would be that rare for 4 x 4 sites, but it is. And people are very accepting of all different rigs and experience levels of drivers. I know when I go out with the group from this site that I am going with people who are wise, smart and practice stay the trail ethics that are so important to me. I know that I can get a good spot, and people will take the spot that I give them. I always feel safe bringing my family on runs with people from here, and to a parent, that is huge. Our recent trip to Moab was a huge success, one that I plan to repeat again in the future, hopefully we can get a few more members up there next year. Now if I could just get that wheeler 2014 badge…

I have to agree. The last few years I haven't been able to get out as much due to life, but I always try to do a trail cleanup once a year, and try to do one other run with the group at least once a year. It has been great to have a good group to get out with.

Yeah, I agree. The only reason I was able to get out more so far is life slowed down a bit. I know it isn't going to last long though.

Although I have only made it on a few runs this is a group that I would wheel with any time without hesitation! (life permitting of course) or just to hangout. Everyone gets along without all of the other usual stuff that you see on other forums and groups. Great group of individuals!!!!

I am really not a "joiner" by nature, but am very happy to be a part of FR after three trails and not quite a year. What a great group of folks from what I would guess are many walks of life. The lack of burdensome meetings and rules is wonderful. Most adults know how to act and need only a minimal structure, and those that don't are no longer here.
It feels much like my neighborhood in which there are no HOAs or or other formalities. But yet whatever ought to be done gets organized by someone, and enough people turn out to help or have a good time as the case may be. The only rules are those of civil society and a desire to have a nice, friendly community.
Many thanks to the founders and admins of FR!

I have seen some of the most amazing sights of my life with my fellow members. Forged some great friendships. Been saved and saved people on the trail from a bad day. Love it so much and believe in all our members that I took on the task of being the POC for our trail clean up runs. There is definately a family feel to our group and I am proud to have been a member this long and don't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. :thumb:

Big thanks belong to Chris for creating Frontrange4x4, if you read the intros to the site all the good stuff we all love is the stuff of his vision. :thumb: Additional thanks to Jim for a stellar job of running things!

I give all the credit to you folks, w/o the good people here my ideas would have just been ideas of what could be. All of you make it what it is. :thumb:

I'll saddle up behind Chris's comment... WE are the group. We enjoy the good group we are.
I am thankful Chris started the concept. As for gratitude for me, I am but a member who wishes to help out (really, about all I do is shuffle funds from donations to the ISP to keep the lights on). I always come back to Chris's thought that we are a group without leaders, one where everyone contributes to keep us rolling along.
A couple posts up from Bob is close to my perspective about the time I signed up (being a solo motorcycle person without time or place constraints). There's a post on the forum from me about that time. I am well content to have the "constraints" of "date-time-meeting-spot" planned runs for the positive aspects they offer.
