A kind reminder on our Calendar...
It is a pivotal component we use for trail runs. The Planning & Planned forums are great for hashing out details, but when that dust settles, the calendar states what is to happen and when.
To have a "Wheeler" badge updated (satisfy the 1-run per year requirement), we need to participate on a Front Range 4x4 run. The distinction is that the run must be listed on our Calendar to count.
Our Calendar is for Front Range 4x4 originated runs. Cross posting a run from another group or event is not allowed (though such runs are typically discussed in General or maybe Planning/Planned).
While last minute runs do happen, and are allowed to be placed on the Calendar "as you walk out the door to drive to the trailhead", they are frowned upon. A last minute Calendar listing really does not give other members a chance to join in - which is a fundamental of our group.
Regarding Run Reports: The "Reports" forum is wide open. Anyone can post a report for a trail they went on - be it a formal (Calendar listed) group run or a "by-myself on a nice afternoon" type of trip.
