Greetings all,
I'm looking to get rid of my roll bar and get a camper shell for my truck. I've been talking with a guy who has a shell that is in pretty good shape and he wants to trade. Only problem is that the back window is gone, he broke it weed whacking around the damn thing in his backyard. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with replacing a camper shell window and how much the cost would run. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think it depends largely on the type of window. Is it one of those fancy "frameless" windows? If so, you're looking at a big chunk of change and likely have to buy it from the shell manufacturer.
If it's just a flat piece of glass in an aluminum frame you can get it anywhere for cheap.
Sorry I don't have numbers for you but hopefully that helps a little at least.

Yeah, it's just a straight piece of glass with a frame.

In that case, I'd measure it and call some local glass shops for price on a cut piece of tempered glass to those dimensions.
If you're at all handy, the frame is probably riveted together and you could drill out the rivets and then replace them. Check to see if there's a rubber gasket around the glass still present in the frame.
Strictly a guess... $50?

Could always just use some plexiglass from the hardware store

^^This, it will be less likely to shatter or break. but it scratches more easily.

There used to be a camper 'junkyard' off of i-70 and Washington. I think it was called Cherokee something-or-other...
I've gotten lots of parts from them. Dirt cheap, too. Hope they're still around.
I got a slider window for the front of my old camper for like $10. Used, but who cares? So was the camper. :-)
