hey guys, I thought I'd throw this out there: if anyone needs web design services or user experience consultation, I've been in the industry for 10+ years. I'm a professional, not just someone who downloaded Photoshop. I have a BFA & have 9 years of experience designing and building websites (10+ for general graphic design & photography).

currently, I'm the Lead UX Designer for Cabela's, so I do this full time. I've worked for other big companies like Travelocity, and have produced hundreds of small business websites and blogs over the years. I shoot photography professionally as well, and can shoot product photos, headshots, or other photography for your website as well.

I'm in IT as well; have been for the last 15 years. I'm currently the Lead DBA here for a small software company where we specialize in client/server applications as well as web applications. I run our database team; dba and PL/SQL development. Most of our work is for government and state contracts. Nice to meet some fellow professionals. Among my wheeling club back in IA, probably 50-60% of us were IT professionals. That's the only way we could support our expensive wheeling habits/builds.

I'm currently the Director of Internet for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin (http://www.swandolphin.com) and have worked there the past 25 years. I have been in this particular position since 1999. In addition to managing their multiple web sites and systems, I also assist in the the design, build, and maintenance of several hotel web sites owned by Tishman Hotel Corporation including the Westin New York at Times Square, the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, the Sheraton Old San Juan and the InterContinental New York at Times Square (plus many other smaller hotels).

I'm getting laid off because I won't move back to Orlando. (Heavy sigh).

I am beginning my job search and would certainly be open to doing project work with any of you.
