Been thinking of building A stroked 4.0 this coming school year for my 89 wrangler with a 1999 Cherokee motor.
Anyone here have experience with a stroked 4.0

How much is he asking ?

I have a spare 4.0 in the shead that I plan on using.
Low miles from a t boned grand Cherokee.
Id like to do alot of head work to it along with intake and headers.
If the budget calls for it id like to eventually put a smaller supper charger on it to..
Yeah my heads in the clouds now !! Lol

I am running a ATK 4.7 Stroker , I installed it last July after I water locked the stock 4.0 at the bottom river crossing of Hackett gulch . I have about 3k on the motor now. I had a small heat issue with the A/c on , not over heating just running around 220 in town, I just installed a old Trans Am hood scoop on a couple of weeks ago , cured that. Pics coming soon, I see the real power increase in the 2500 - 5000 range, My motor is rated at 205 HP and 285 Trq from ATK engines, I have pics in the build threads from last years install. I think the couple hundred dollars It cost me over a stock 4.0 replacement was worth it. Not as fast as a V8 conversion but runs pretty good with 4.88 and 37 in tires, plus all emission legal .

The gentleman in Longmont with the stroker motor is named Kyle. He recently parted out his well built YJ. Has the motor still and is asking $800. He is a client and was actually in the shop this afternoon picking my brain on a Cummins build he has going on. I mentioned I saw this post and he told me to reply with his number. So I will PM you his info. Hope that this helps!

I had already sent him Kyles number. Aaron what part of Longmont is your shop in? I'm heading over to Kyles house one day this week and could come check it out if you're close

My bad. Guess he got it twice.

My shop is right in the center of the city. About 3 blocks west of Main near 11th. Really nothing to see as we don't stock many parts. We are just a lowly metal fabrication shop. It's just a small, old, dirty building behind my house that is grandfathered in commercial and residential. If you want to stop by just call before hand to make sure someone is there. We do a lot of work around this beautiful State and may all be off site at once.
