Just got my tickets. I got 3 day passes as there are bands each day that I would hate to miss. I don't get to go to shows very often anymore but when I saw this lineup, I know I had to make the time.

So who else is going? What days?

I wanna go so bad. But I will be in Montana.:frown: The Cure, A Day to Remember, Slayer, Rise Against, Bring Me The Horizon, Clutch, We Came As Romans, Sublime:frown: I'm way jealous of you haha. Just a heads up if you are going to see Bring Me The Horizon (not sure if you are) don't have your hopes too high. One of my coworkers went to see them one time and the lead singer did a couple lines before the show and had blood gushing out his nose and had to stop every couple verses for water. I'm not sure he might have his act together this time but just a heads up.

I'd like to go and see The Expendables and Passafire.. but not sure I could justify the 60 doller tickets :O

Really? Wow. Out of over 62 bands, those are the two that you want to see? I must be getting old.

The top 16 reasons I am going, Not in any specific order:

Weezer
The Flaming Lips
Primus
NOFX
Gogol Bordello
Die Antwoord
The Cure
Social D
Decendents
Clutch
Sublime
Wu-Tang Clan
Dropkick Murphys
Violent Femmes
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
Bouncing Souls

And quite honestly I would easily pay $60 to see each one of the bands I listed separately, and probably have in the past. Hell, I have seen Social D in 5 different States now. I know I am a sucker. But music is my weakness.

I'll be there. It was an awesome time last year. Sucks they had to change venues thou. Not sure it will be as great at Mile High as it was out in the fields. Only plus side is its way closer now.

You and I must be music brothers! :thumb:

been a souls fan for over 20 years. They just had their 25th anniversary party in asbury park NJ.

Wish I could, have too much going on.

Great minds think a like! ;)

The 'Souls are a great band. I was introduced to their music years ago by my sister-in-law. Her parents wrote, sang, and produced Christian children's music, and the 'Souls actually bought the rights to a few of there songs. Very interesting to hear the two different versions back to back. If I could find the stuff on you tube I would post to show what I was talking about. But sadly, I can not find any videos for the song at all.

So much good music to be crammed into 3 days. Should be a blast. Can't hardly wait I am so excited.

Offer up a radio station that I can tune in and listen to the "new" music.Youtube, then search. I can attribute many hours of my life lost to nostalgia, and youtube. :)

Sadly, I can't go for an extended camp-out, let alone an extended concert. Feel free to stimulate the economy in my absence. :thumb:

You may not have heard of this band, but I can almost guarantee you have heard all of their songs before. They are a cover band made up of all puck rockers. Lead singer is from The Swingin' Utters, bassist is Fat Mike from NOFX, lead guitar is one of the Foo Fighters and the backing guitar and drummer are both from Lagwagon.

Here is how I find new music.

I search satallite radio stations under independent, alternative, rock and basically any type if music I really like.
I also search amazon new releases.
One of the best ways I have been successful is using apple music radio, I type in a artist I like or I feel has the same taste I like based on what they listen to, or are their influences. You may get music that is similar to their sound. You do not have to enter a band, you can enter a band member who writes a majority of that bands songs and get a pretty good listing. From there you are usually turned on to a couple different new bands.

In my opinion too many people are just content to listen to what mainstream shoves down their throats. I think it is the punker in me that forces me to search out what is not mainstream. When I listened to punk in the 90's(still do but it is harder to find new bands) you would buy mostly 45's of virtually unknown bands which made it that much cooler as it was unique and raw. Unhindered by any record exec who told the artist what to write or play as that is what they can sell.

Now bands have started releasing their own music through iTunes which gives you more music that is pure. The older I get the more critical I am about singing and songwriting and seek out the real music.

Don't feel bad Chris, I have only heard of about 5 bands that will be there. I was raised on classic rock. Its rough not having KKFM, KILO, and KDZA here in Golden.

So much good music over 3 days. Really a great show was put on by all. Old school punk, rock, and even a little rap. I will post at least links to all the photos and videos I took once they are all uploaded. But here are a couple to start you off:
