Just curious if anyone has heard anything about E lockers being on nationwide backorder. The place I am ordering from says they keep placing orders but nothing from the company. They called Eaton and said they can't guarantee any ship dates. It's been almost a month now since I ordered it.

Would not surprise me Eric. With the economy the way it is, many places are not stocking common things, and manufacturers are waiting until a production is $ feasible. It sucks dude. My neighbors went to replace their dishwasher with just another basic unit, Evergreen had to ship it from another store. In the 90's everyone had to much stuff:rolleyes: Have you called another distributer to verify the info, I had to for my Jeeps swaybar crap.

Have you considered cancelling your order and going with another locker? Plenty of options out there...

Yeah I'm going to call around next week. But yeah I agree Paul. Thanks Cliff. I was thinking of canceling the order. I was hoping to stay in the same price range but maybe I just need to look around more.

I can tell you that the Auburn Gear Ected locker is a great option, I don't know if its available for your axel tho. I'm running one in my front 44 and it has never faild to engage, not like the POS ARB I have in my rear 9". Just my 2cents.

The ected is not a true locker....not by a longshot. It does not mechanically lock the axles together. I've watched them slip when engaged on multiple occasions. I won't sell 'em or install them.
I've checked availability on the 8.8 elocker with a couple of my suppliers and struck out. I'm still waiting on one more to reply to an email. I'll let you know as soon as I get a response, might not be till Monday though.

I run OX in my front high-pinion D30 and my rear D44 and have been extremely happy with them over the last 3-4 years. They're a true manual locker with various actuation options. They make a 31-spline 8.8 locker:
