I have this guy's number if anybody is interested:

FS: Dana 44 TrueTrac limited slip

Selling a gently used (was installed in a front axle) TrueTrac limited slip differential for a Dana 44. Carrier is set for 3.92 and numerically higher gears (4.10's, 4.56's etc). 30 spline.

Don't confuse this with a crappy trac lock LSD, this one uses gears not clutches. Works great in the snow and off road. I only took it our because I got a great deal on an ARB.

$100 Located in Denver.

If it can be used in a rear D44 for a JK wrangler, I would be interested.

I looked these up online, looks like they are rotation specific. So, this would not work in any rear axle.

Do you know if there is a part number for it? Would be intersted to see if it fits my Scout.

if its rotational alone it should fit a few rears depending on what front it was for .... also i have not ever heard of the rotational thing in these before but hey ..... and lastly it looks completely wrong for a true trac i know so it may be the old style 2 gear set up instead of the now 3 gear set up ......and now that i think about it why would it be directional

Robert, that was my first thought after searching applications. Summit lists 4 different tru tracs for the D-44. They are split by carrier break, and front or rear axle.

Jeff, I think the carriers have a pretty broad application through the years. I'll be using a carrier from a '72 F-250 4x4, to re-gear my Cherokee D-44. I verified it with the Dana-Spicer website.

EDIT: If I had lots-o-money, I'd buy this for the front axle in my '74 F-100.
