Just one if those cheapo $7 ODBII devices and a free Windows phone app.

The screen shot is just simulated, but it connected right up and shows real data too. More of a toy but provides some useful info like error codes.

I use an ELM 327 to connect to my Droid with an app called Torque.
The app was $5.00 the ELM327 was less than $15 delivered off ebay.

It will only reset a few codes and that's not what I got it for. I use it to monitor and have a custom dash with what I want to see.
My coolant temps are shown as a digital number instead of just a dial on my 4Runner's dashboard.

That's basically what I got and for the same reasons. Torque isn't available on windows phones. I've never had a code of the JK but at least I might be able to do something about it or at least have an idea what the issue is. I still playing around with creating a number of dashboards.

The free one in the pic is called Motorist. The new one, pic still to come, is OBDII Info-San. It's pricey at just under $14.

Here's a link to the last app I mentioned

One can try it for free. The scan/reset codes is disabled in trial mode.
