New Job!

I have been working doing Excel/SQL work with Great West Financial for about 5 years now. I accepted a position to start in 2 weeks with TransAmerica as a Business Analyst. Excited about the new opportunity!

I am at the Orchard location as well. The new job is about 1 mile closer to home, Belleview and I-25. Cuts about 3 mins off my 1 hour evening commute. :(

Congratulations, sounds like a great opportunity. I'm an Oracle DBA with quite a bit of PL/SQL Development experience. I manage a small team with a focus on Oracle/Sybase. I wish you the best in your new opportunity, but if anything ever changes for you, let me know.

Congrats ! Will this new job give you more time for family and to wheel ?

I am not sure yet. My current job was hourly, which was nice to get OT. The new job is salaried, but the base pay is considerably more, so it should easily cover the non-paid OT. Hopefully I don't have to put in as much OT, and can avoid the 55 hour weeks. I will lose 1 week of vacation which is a bummer.
