Hi all,
Brian here. Looking forward to what I hear is a pretty good community.
I'm based in SE Aurora/Parker. Had done some relatively light 4wheeling in an older Ford Explorer but didn't really get into it seriously until a few years ago. I have wanted a jeep as long as long as I can remember and spent many years planning all the different jeeps I would buy "someday." Finally my wife got sick of hearing about it, and told me just to do it - so I pulled the trigger a few years back on a '12 4-door. So far I've done all the work on the jeep myself, despite having absolutely no experience as a mechanic or anything close to it. I can't decide which was more fun - the wrenching or the wheeling. Thankfully you can pick up a lot from forums and talking to guys.
Most of my wheeling in Colorado has been up I-70 or down I-25 towards CoSprings. Looking forward to branching out and hitting some of the awesome trails in SW Colo. 3 summers now in Moab as well, including EJS the last 2 years. Met lots of great people along the way. I am looking forward to more opportunities teaming up for trips. Most of my Colorado wheeling has been with a couple friends and family, or just me with the kids or wife/kids strapped in. We make it up there fairly often, but it would be great to do some more group wheeling, because I always worry about breaking something out there when we're on our own.
Here's a couple pics - one from CO, one from UT. I think these were Moab Rim and Radical Hill if I remember right.
