The heater core in my bronco finally blew. Coolant all over the passenger side floor.mwhat a flipping mess. Got it cleaned up, bypassed the core for a week and finally installed a new core. After driving this thing for 3 years with no heat (yes, in the winter time too), it finally started to spill out heat. Sure is nice to have it now. Total repair time, 1 1/2 hours. 30 minutes fr the core and an hour to drain the radiator and refill with new coolant. BRING ON WINTER!!

Congrats! I went 4 years with my old Subaru in college with no heat. It finally decided to work shortly before I sold it. Glad you got it worked out!

I don't think I would want to do the core in yours. Much more involved than in mine. I just had to pull the glove box and had full access.

Mine is a piece of cake now with the after market heater, it sits just below the dash but right above the toe boards.

That will sure beat the original position it was at. I've done a little research on the core from that year and it seemed to be a real pain to do.

Yep, mostly due to the A/C taking up soooo much realestate!
