Well I thought it was about time to tell the tale of my 2010 Jeep JK 4dr build. I bought the JK new in April of 2010, stock with 3.73 gears in Houston, TX. Within the first 3000 miles I started the change. First a Warn Rock Crawler Front Bumper, Fuel Door, Olympic Rock Crawler Rear Bumper, Olympic Rocker Guards. Second big purchase was a Pro Comp Stage II 4” Short Arm lift, Dick Cepek Wheels with 315/70/17 Pro Comp Xtreme A/T tires, then AFE Cold Air Intake and a Superchip Flash Pac Tuner, also added a Smittybilt Oversized tire carrier to the tailgate. I didn’t do much with the jeep until 2012 when I rebuilt the front end (all the factory joints failed) with upgraded ball joints and tie rod ends, at the time I upgraded the Tie Rod with a HD Pro Comp with Dual stabilizing shocks.

I again went dormant with the upgrades, just using the jeep as a daily driver. In March of 2014 I moved to the Denver area and decided to use the jeep for its intended purpose and that was to wheel, and boy does Colorado provide some fun places to wheel. And so the upgrading began again, much to my wife’s delight (insert sarcasm here). Added a Smittybilt XCR 9.5 winch, Hi-Lift Jack and mount, Smittybilt 5.56 CFM Compressor, CB Radio, Roof Rack, Smittybilt XRC Fender Flare Set (tore up the stockers). Then came the big upgrade, changed from 3.73 to 4.88 gears, added Eaton eLockers front and rear.Just recently after bending my stock drag link, I’ve upgraded to a Synergy HD drag link, and I purchased Ten Factory Chromoly Front Axle Shafts.

My future plans include changing the rear bumper to a Smittybilt XRC Atlas w/ Rear Tire Carrier, adding some Nitro Axle Tubes to the Dana 30 front axle as well as add C Gussets, upgrade the brakes, replace the front and rear drive shafts with 1310 Reel drive lines, and replace the stock diff covers. I am sure the list is not complete but that is what owning a jeep is all about. Been having fun wheeling and meeting people, love being in Colorado.

Nice jeep, I'm curious how things went after you went farther forward in this pic

It went well, I took a look and decided that my ego needed to be checked and backed down before I did something I was going to regret. I thought about taking a different line and trying it but when I looked again the dirt was starting to cave. The bronco in the background did try it and had some body damage, not sure he really cared. I did:)
