ARB Tool

ARB has a little tool that you need when installing / removing the Diff from a Semi Floating Axle. It has to do with the pinion block, or the c-clips or something like that. Does anyone have one I can borrow?

Not- I as I didn't need it for the Taco or the 85 front axle.

ARB has a wiring diagram on their website that is downloadable. Let me know if you run into problems getting it as I think I have it bookmarked or downloaded on my PC or a spare hard copy somewhere.

Did you get a wiring harness/switch(s) for it, too? If you have all of that , the rest isn't any big deal and I can help out just by looking at my setup-or my spare harness.

I would like to help out with your diffs this weekend, but am already committed to helping Bear with diffs x2 on his heap Saturday and doing my rear axle install Sunday.

Thanks Pete, not this weekend, it's next. We're swapping the ARB/Diffs from Mark's truck to mine so we have everything except the tool and a new air line which I understand from other people's experience is the weak spot.

The internal or external air line? The internal can be had through Slee as he is an authorized dealer. He usually stocks these parts, too.

The external soft line can be had through High Country as they generally stock most of the ARB components. I would also be a good idea to buy the ARB repair kit which has all the stuff needed to do a trail repair. I used this kit to replace my front air line as I wanted the extra parts rather than buy just the air line itself. Since these parts are designed to do a splice fix, I just stuck my old air line in the stuff I normally carry along.

Do not try to use off the shelf hard line as the ARB line is a 6mm metric and the standard stuff you can buy is 1/4".

External, and I plan on picking up the repair kit which I recall from a presentation by Chris from ARB a while back. I'll probably check with High Country, thanks.

RE rear ARB line:

Specifically ask for the rear line as the ARB repair kit line is too short to reach the rear. The 20' rear line kit cost me $15.80 and is a standard in stock item at High Country. Still a good idea to get the repair kit at some point, too.
