And what would a truss section be without my own axle? Here is a picture of the Taco rear axle with the ARB that is going under the back of my heap when I find the time. The odd little bit of tubing on the diff armor is protection for my brake line where it was exposed. It will provide a bump stop if I ever get it that bound up in the rocks.

I modified Trail Gear diff armor to fit the Taco rear diff by extending it about 1 1/2" all the way around and added 1/4" steel to the bottom of the diff. James at the Krawl Shop did the tubing bending for me following my design. The breather vent was extended with a piece of tubing and run through the 1 1/2" tube on the upper truss.

The bracket on top of the diff and welded onto the truss tubing is for the upper mount for my trac bar. I didn't weld on the lower bracket as I am still waiting to see what the configuration is going to be when I bob the bed as the trac bar is mounted to the rear bumper.

I found these pics online a while back. Saved them since I liked how well the work was done. I think I was looking at Scout stuff at the time but can't remember for sure. Nice job of a truss for a removeable diff cover.

Sammy housing tubes are 1/16" thick!
I bent my rear housing after installing the anti wrap bar.
If the housings aren't straight the Lockright lockers won't work and will damage teh side gears and locker itself.
Anti wrap support should be inline with the pull bar.
Trusses on top are for jumping or hopping. I have a top Sky truss on the front and the same one for the rear pluss one on the back. I don't have pick of the top rear on yet.
I have not removed the lower tie rod yet in this picture.

Here are a couple more interesting truss designs that could be easily used on any axle. These are actually termed 'Stegosaurus' trusses for some reason and the pictures are of a Lotus sports car axle..
