Is it an old forest service truck? Looks like it had the logo on it.

Yes it was. Seems to have been maintained very well. Has new starter, alternator and complete brake rebuild including everything from the master cylinder out. Interior is in good shape, with the glove box door the only thing that really needs attention. Outside has a little surface rust but is in great shape as well.

Yes, it has 8 lug wheels on it, but haven't got under it to identify axles and such yet. Waiting for the weather to get a little better, or to rearrange the garage enough that the truck will fit inside it.

It did pass emissions with nice low numbers and is now insured and plated so can drive the thing around legally.
Looking at the interior of the truck much more carefully, I am coming to believe that this truck has the actual 47,000 miles that the odometer shows rather than having rolled over one or more times. The interior of the truck just doesn't show enough wear and tear on the pedal pads, rubber floor mat or seat to indicate 147,000 miles on this vehicle. I am thinking I may have gotten really lucky with the purchase of this truck.
