This snow storm didn't turn out to be the 20" we were told we could expect! Plows were out right away and this is no issue in Evergreen.

Yesterday my eldest daughter called me when she got home (she lives in Westminster). I asked her how much snow she got. She guessed about "11-12 FEET"!

Hahaha! She was in a "mood". She called me later to tell me she went "snow-bashing" on her street because the plows still hadn't come. (She drives a Civic)!
I asked her if she got stuck and she admitted "Yeah - but I was in a mood, so I got out".

We only got ~5" in Henderson. I just got done clearing the driveway and there was 2"-8" depending on how it drifted.

We drove home from Frederick/Firestone last night about 6PM and it was pretty slick. A truck went into the ditch in front of us on Hwy 85 and we stopped to check on them. Turned out it was a younger girl in her boyfriends truck. I was checking under the vehicle to see if we could get her back on the road and I noticed that a T post had broken the passenger front brake hard line. We gave her a ride to her brothers house which wasn't far from our place.

Looks like the second wave is just starting here. Snowing lightly right now.

On a side note, our Subarus (we have 2) have always been awesome in the snow, but the new FZJ80 is a tank and is my new favorite snow vehicle.

We got a massive 2" here in glorious Butte MT. I sure am jealous of all of you back in Colorado actually getting snow.

Maybe 5-6" here but also windy so it drifted a lot.

My kid hit a curb yesterday coming home in my wife's new Fusion, it now has about 4" toe out.

We have gotten about 10 or 11" all together. Enough to break out a snowblower.

We were out yesterday afternoon when it started. It wasn't doing much, and all of a sudden a hard gust of wind, followed by huge amounts of snow, and a complete white-out. The roads had been just damp, and were basically instantly frozen. We decided going out to eat wasn't a good idea.

Got off Hwy 285 at Wadsworth. The hill heading South had cars stuck all over the place trying to get up it, including those who don't know what 4wd is. At Belleview and Kipling there was a really bad 4 car accident in the intersection and Belleview was closed. Another accident between a car and a truck in the roundabout at Quincy and Simms.

In the end, just turning around for home was a great idea, mostly because of all the other drivers on the road. In the 30 mins or so we were out, it snowed 3-4 inches.

Yikes! Best to stay home I guess.

I remember growing up in MPLS and having my first car while I still lived with my parents. I went out the door one morning in particular (carrying a shovel) and my dad followed me. I stomped around for a while then I shouted to my dad, "Hey I think I found my car - and I think I'm on the roof". He said "Yep. start digging".

My story is a simple one. I think we missed the storm here in Longmont. We have at most 4" in downtown. News is reporting 8", so I think they have been smoking the crack pipe or something. I am very jealous of everyone who actually got a good snow storm though! Would love a big blizzard to play in. Hope everyone stays safe and warm!

Not sure how much I have at my house, but I had to make a run to the store and had to put the Bronco in 4 wheel drive to get up the hill. Pretty slick. Still had fun driving in it.

I used to like driving our Subaru's, and my 4Runner always did well in the snow, but my new favorite is the Toyota Custom Cab. The 130" or more wheelbase makes for a very stable ride. It tracks so straight and is very predictable, particularly with the 4 aggressive studded snows.

I went out to go to the store today and a guy started tail-gaiting me big time so I pulled over. He pulled up next to me to ask if I was OK. I responded that I was fine, but didn't want to drive as fast as he apparently wanted to go... He said he thought I was keeping a good steady speed. Me: Then if you're going to stay behind me, please get off my a**. I Just sat there until he went first...!

I scrambled to build a new shed in my yard before the snow hit. My garage was robbed last year and I've wanted something I can lock since.

I saw this house being flipped in my neighborhood, 23rd and Grove if you want to see it. They resided all the wood areas with old fence boards, or "reclaimed cedar" as the contractor put it. I talked to them for a bit , got the technique.

It looks even better in claimed cedar. I claimed it at Home Depot with my visa card.

didn't quite finish before the snow hit, but it will do for now. It needs trim and the door needs to come off and get cleaned up / repainted in the spring. No more stolen tools!!

We got 6" in the front yard and 12" in the back. It was very windy in Cottonwood. My 16yo made it to work & back in his XJ both days on the weekend for his first big storm experience so I am happy.

Nice shed Paul! Those security doors go for cheap used, and they are bullet proof. Mine was made by a local company too, so parts are easy to get.

Here we go again... snow was really coming down today, and they predict we will get more over the next several days. Oh well, I'd rather have snow than fire. Plan ahead and stay off the roads if you can.

I was in an office for much of the day - and they had a nice west-southwest window. We could watch the snow (cloud & fall) blocking the view of the mountains - but yet no flurries in town. As of 6:30 - only but a few flurries. Denver news says end-of-work-day travel times are bad.

I'm hoping to get a bunch of snow!

Drove to Louisville at around 8:30-9pm, great visibility, snow slowing down. Drove home to Boulder at around 9:30pm, 100meters visibility, lots of snow coming down. Really had to see. You couldn't see taillights 100 meters ahead of you. Luckily there was barely anyone on the roads.

I HATE it when the snow is wet and your windshield wipers freeze up. I had to stop along the way and bang them to dislodge some ice so they worked again.
