3 of my rigs

Since I have "several", here are the 3 that are modified and road ready basically.

1976 Scout II 345" V8, TF727, Dana 20, 31" BFG AT's

1987 Toyota Truck 22r, 5 speed, 1" body lift, 1.5" +/- suspension, 33" BFG MT's

1987 Toyota 4Runner 22re, 5 speed, 1.5" +/- suspension lift, 32" Goodyear MTR's

Sweet Scout, those are some of my favorite 4x4's, IMO they were ahead of their time.

Where is pic #4 from, with your 4runner? Think I have been there. Looks like either Lockhart, or the part of White Rim closer to Shafer.

I have always wanted a decent built Scout II. My buddy offered this to me at a steal. Have known him 14 years and watched/helped him build it. Even offered that if he ever changed his mind on it, he would be welcome to buy it back for same price + anything else I put into it. This is a really good specimen. Just needs minor body work. Also have a 1/2 cab for it.

The 2nd 4Runner pic is on White Rim Road. I think it is around Airport. Can't remember if we took that morning after camping at Airport or the afternoon on the way to Airport. Either way, nice place to be!

I like the Scout too, didn't know you had one. How many more rigs do you have?

Have my 69 Patrol and 65 that is in pieces. Those are the 4wd types. The 2wd list is almost as long!

Just curious about the reason that your 76 scout 2 has a Dana 20 in it? Since these come stock with a Dana 44 I was wondering if it was a switch for a particular reason or just something that happened?

Sorry, I missed a post from last year! It is spring under. Many Scout have been converted. They are also front shackle like Jeeps were.

The Dana 20 is the t-case. It has 44's front and rear. There was apparently an optional Dana 300 t-case. The 44's came in the V-8 models I believe. If you got a 4 or 6 cyl, I think it came factory with a Dana 35 front, but still had the 44 rear.

Heck, yeah, the White Rim is a cool trail. LONG, but cool. Basically a really long day to do in 1 day since it is 103 miles of dirt. I think it is about 50 miles of pavement round trip to/from Moab. We usually split it up over 2-3 days. There are some really nice sites to camp at as well. Plus, you absolutely have to get out and take pics. No difficult obstacles, just incredible scenery!

exactly, ideally i'd want to take 3 days. i've seen quite a few pics of the trail from the guys over at expo. it's now one of those trails that i HAVE to do.

Yep. Definately a must do. Make your reservations WELL in advance. The camp sites in the middle fill fast. The sites near either end of the loop don't help much as you only get 30-60 minute head start that way. A middle site allows for 2 day trip pretty easily.
