Hi everyone, I Just picked up a new rig and I am looking to getting into some more serious offroading. I have been offroading since I bought my first 4x4 when I was 17 (a '79 Jeep J-20) and every vehicle I have owned since has had low range.

I recently decided that I want to build a more capable rig and tackle some tough terrain. Since I just got a company vehicle that will fill my DD role, I have a lot more flexibility in my personal vehicle.

I just bought this about a week ago

Here (http://imgur.com/a/zkMLJ) is an album of her in action.

It's a 94 Land Cruiser, It has the factory E-lockers, a 2.5 inch lift and some nice new 285/75/16 Duratracs. It has 211k On the original drivetrain and seems to be perfectly mechanically sound. The previous owners did excellent maintenance and kept great records.

I am looking to jump into the first trail run I can, anything going on this weekend?

Welcome to Front Range 4x4 Dan, nice to see another Land Cruiser! The build looks very similar to my son's '97 FZJ80, great trucks. I'm sure he'd enjoy wheeling with another LC as would we all. (I'm a former LC owner that moved to a 4Runner.)

Good looking rig. You'll love the tires if they're fairly new. I ran the Duratracs for 3 years on my Jeep and they were awesome in all terrain especially snow.

Welcome, and NICE rig! Those were on the my short list of vehicles when looking last. I love em.
I didn't end up with the same vehicle, but I did get the same tires!

I think I too can make it out this weekend, so maybe I will see you out there!

Welcome Dan. Nice choice as FJ's are soild rigs to start with.
The front end can hadl 40's and a mild V8.
The slee offroad cromoly outers can handle big block power and 40's.
We have a great vroup of fols here and a ton of knowledge as well.
Several of us are fabricators as well as mechanics.

Look at run planning I know some of us are lookong to run sunday.

Yeah I figured the fact that the drive train is already pretty beefy and the inclusion of factory lockers puts me ahead of the game compared to a lot of the other options. It's good to hear that you help each other wrench, does anyone around here have experience rebuilding toyota solid front ends? I've got a click when at full lock with the center diff locked, nothing urgent, but it probably needs wheel bearings, maybe birfs.
