First off this is not my vehicles it is mine but my friends.

So this starts out with him getting it so he could have a four wheel drive vehicle for Montana. Driving back home for thanksgiving break he hit a deer and screwed up his front end pretty good. That lead to a long time getting it back from the guy who was fixing it. During that time had a new bumpers put on that he ordered. I drove him to get his Xterra for around trip of 8 hours.

As we drove back to Butte we got word that our friends were having a bonfire behind the school so we decided to head back there. Once we got back we soon found out our friends moved to a large ice sheet and were doing donuts. I'm sure you can see where this is going.

Right when I pull up this happens.

We turned the Xterra off and after a couple minutes of shock and running back to the dorms to change we decided to flip it back over. But first perfect time for a photo op

The passenger side window was shattered and the windshield was gone. The whole passenger side was pretty crinkled but the rest of the trucks exterior was fine but a couple dents on the hood and part of the roof.

We got the bad boy towed to some apartments where some friends live and left it there over night. The next day we went back to better see the damage and try to get the engine to run.

First thing was to pull out the spark plugs and crack the engine to see if any oil got in the cylinders. When we did that we spared a good part of the parking lot around us with oil but now atleast the engine would start up. Even though it started up it would only run for about 3 seconds then die. The answer to the only running for 3 second conundrum was the MAF sensor in the intake. It along with everything was covered in oil and was not giving correct readings and screwing everything up. To fix this we sprayed it down with some carb cleaner and wa la it ran. Even though it smoked a lot.

Not the best picture but you can see the spark plugs were covered in oil. New ones were purchased since these ones were obviously toast.

Next up was some body work and a new windshield. We didn't put the new windshield in but did get some body work done.

Not bad for some amateurs. Also got it sanded down for a quick paint. Now we needed to drive it all the way back to Colorado for spring break.

Made it to and from Colorado with not problems. Over the break he got the paint all done. Nothing amazing but if you don't look at it real close it isn't noticeable.

This panel couldn't be pulled out do to it going all along the body so at some point itll need to be pulled.

That's it for now. Everything is running smoothly and we haven't found any other problems so far but time will tell.

Its guys night out every day. Girls aren't really something that exist in Butte but if they did they'd be all over my friend cause he has the most body damage with out a doubt.

This cracked me up. I think they move away, I have a friend in Portland and one in Texas that are from Butte.

There is a reason why they say you develop Butte goggles while going to school here.
