Okay so finally got around to starting a build thread for Lil Blue. Here are the pics of the first day I first bought her home.

I removed the ZR2 stickers from the sides didn't like where they were placed. About a month later the wife and I were headin back up from the springs hoppin on the on ramp to 25 and the fan flexed to much when accelerating that it hit the lower fan shroud. this in turn broke off some of the fan blade and sent a piece into the radiator. Come to find out someone had placed a spacer nut on the water pump which was the root cause off this little fun and expense mishap.

Needed to get some new shoes so I installed some 31x10.50 15 Duratrac's and had to do the fuel pump and wire in the new connecter for the fuel pump.

Now working on the winch mount, started by notching out the front upper bumper mounts to fit the winch between the frame rails.

Nice build. The winch will be a great addition when it is all wrapped up. One of the best forms of insurance money can buy.
Do you happen to know the brand/model of the red lift? I would love to have something like that in my garage.

It is an older model hunter alignment rack. I agree, it would be nice to have one of those in the garage.

I thought it might be an alignment rack. It is just the right height for some things I need to do. Will keep my eyes open. Thanks!

Had a little free time and was able to get the front recovery points mounted up. Still need to pull them back off and weld a nut on each side mount hole. Then put the winch mount back on and find time to finish it up. Coming along ok so far, still need to get the trans done though.

Was trying to finish up the winch mount but did not happen, did get the corners clipped and the hole cut for the cable to pass through.

It looks like you got that winch pretty tight up in there, awesome. Do you have a side view of the picture right above this? (like in post #8 but with the bumper on).
And that air is awesome. Probably much lighter than my compressor.

yep, I did change it up a little though. narrowed it up by 1 3/4", cut out my oil filter access and trimmed the front bumper so that it would wrap around the winch. also had to re-drill the winch bolt holes.

yep,I had to cut out the bottom center of the grill to wrap around the control box so that I could still remove the grill. Just notched out a section of grill just to the right of the control box. just forgot to snap a pick of the grill cut outs. will post one up tomorrow.

Ok, time to start addressing some of the problems I encountered wheelin the Blazer for the first time on the clean up run. It did come down a little hard in the front in a couple of spots on the trail. Front sway bar and lower frame, the receiver hitch and the tailpipe which still has an annoying from time to time.

So I ordered some BDS add a leaf through HCP and will also be doing a t-bar crank to level it back out. also picked up a fuel can & bracket, figured might as well could probably use on the Moab trip. I dont think that I will be added much more weight to the back other than a Hi-lift jack.
