Hello everyone
My name is Louis, we recently moved to Monument from the miserable Midwest (Chicago). I’m excited to be part of the Frontrange 4x4 wheelers. I did some trails in Europe in the Carpathian mountains as well as in Breckenridge last summer.


My rig is a 78 Toyota BJ40 diesel with 4” lift, winch, ARB lockers. It is under construction at the moment, hoping to finish it soon, I need to install turbo due to high elevation, also I need to finish my power steering. The truck was purchased from Costa Rica last summer, it is hard to get parts for it so I’ll do my best to join the club!

Interesting truck. Purchased from Costa Rica - how / why? Driven (most of the way) back or shipped - could be a good story there?!

I'm from Rockford and still travel back quarterly. `looking to enjoy an afternoon game at Wrigley Field this July.

The truck was shipped, it is in pretty good condition considering that Costa Rica is surrounded by salt water. Of course it didn't looked like the photo I posted, it took quit a bit of work and $.
As far as IL goes, I'm trying to avoid going back at all cost, I know they have good things there but the mountains are my home!

Welcome to Frontrange. Nice Land Cruiser. I bet that looked a little out of place in Chicago. It will fit in just fine, here.

Shortly after I got it I drove around in Chicago a few times and believe it or not there were a few people stopped me to check it out. I guess there are a few knowledgeable guys in the Midwest to. Im pretty sure that this is a better home for it!!!
