Looking to get more practice in the Jeep. Would like to have someone more experienced than myself go along if possible. I'm willing to travel between golden area to loveland area in the mountains. I don't know that many trails so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

For a nice intro, (with trails that look to be open), start at the north end of Bunce School Road and either take the Ironclads offshoot or the T-33a offshoot. Not many trails are yet listed as open. I hope more opened this week but it seems Bunce's south gates opened a few days / 1 week ago.
I doubt I'll get out this weekend, though there's a small chance. MANY are itching to get out on open trails. Many should pipe up as available.
Visit www.TrailDamage.com and look up the trails I mentioned.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like a lot of fun. The pictures look really cool and it doesn't look that hard. Still would prefer if someone went with. Maybe i just need to wait a little bit longer. If no one gets back to me i'll probably lube my slip yoke on my rear drive shaft. Heard a ear splitting clunck from the rear once and it's the only explanation i could find online. Maybe rear drum brake problem but not sure.

I would not recommend going alone ever. I have done this a few times as a newbie not knowing what can happen. although it was a great time I put myself in positions that were never good and always needed help to get out safely. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will say this.
That being said I may try and get back out to Jenny creek/ mammoth gulch on Monday or Tuesday. The guy we met yesterday named Kurtis said he will be going up. If your really itching I can possibly set you guys up he is pretty experienced has recoverer and has common sense. he did not mind helping us when we got stuck spotted us All most every time we got in a bind.
He may join here soon!

I might be open on the schedule for Mon or Tue (Wx looks warmer on Tues).
T-33a perhaps (which, for me, includes a full length of Bunce)
I've never been on the full Park Creek trail. Might be nice for T-33a & Park Creek (could skip the northern section of Bunce)

I think Tuesday would work better for me if you want to go. Do you think I need diconnected sway bar for that trail? If so i'll probably do some trimming on monday as I was rubbing a little bit at Gross Res.

I may be able to get out Tuesday, I haven't been able to test my new suspension yet. I think I have my other issues fixed (damn electronics!)

Electronics? Yuk. Glad I only had to deal with a hose.

For Bunce, no.
T-33a, a higher difficulty trail, more articulation is nice (specifically if you have open diff's). In either case, you could be strapped up an obstacle if needed.
EDIT: I wouldn't bother disconnecting if it was a big hassle.

Yeah Jerry, I replaced a couple bulbs in my truck console/hvac and the dash error lights lit up like a christmas tree. Makes me want to go back to an old truck. All's well now except the new bulbs don't light up. :frown:

Do we want to set up a Tuesday T-33a / Park Creek? Meet at the south end of Bunce or meet at Sandstone Park in Lyons?
Who'd be in?
